yours truly
Life is about experiences, and so much of what we experience is influenced by the architecture around us. People believe architecture is synonymous with buildings, but I consider it to be more than that. Architecture has the power to awaken the senses, to make people pause in their fast-paced lives and take notice. It is about the human interactions and the emotions we experience as we walk around, into, and through a space. As a designer, my hope is to make people react to the environment around them, to make them aware of what they are feeling as they connect with the architecture.
In August of 2011, I graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Although I was accepted into a handful of graduate schools, I decided to take a break from schooling to gain more real world experience before pursuing my Master of Architecture. I was employed as a Junior Designer at Elkus Manfredi Architects from 2011 - 2013. I am currently a full-time graduate student at the University of Illinois at Chicago and part-time intern at Scrafano Architects. I will be receiving my M.Arch in May 2016.
